01Who we are

Parkmerdok Ltd (“Parkmerdok”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a private limited company registered in England & Wales under company number 15329764, with our registered office at Studio 3, The Glasshouse, 27 Alder Row, Bristol BS1 5TF.

02Data we collect

We collect only what we need to grow plants and get them to you:

• Contact & order details — your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, and the details of your orders or subscriptions.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and a masked reference, but not your full card number.
• Communications — the messages you send us and our replies.
• Technical data — basic, aggregated information such as the pages visited on the Site, collected to keep it running and secure.

03How & why we use it

We use your data for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis under UK GDPR:

• To fulfil your order — process payments, deliver Products and provide support. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To manage subscriptions and send service messages such as dispatch and renewal notices. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To run and improve our business — keep records, prevent fraud, and understand which Products people value. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
• To send marketing — our seasonal newsletter, where you have asked to receive it. Lawful basis: consent.
• To meet legal obligations — such as tax and accounting. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

This Site is intentionally light. We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function and stay secure — we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and there is nothing here that profiles you across other websites. If we ever introduce analytics or similar, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

05Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as far as they need it:

• our payment provider, to take payment securely;
• delivery and courier partners, to bring your plants to you;
• our email and IT providers, to send messages and host the Site;
• professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.

These providers act as our processors under written agreements and may only use your data on our instructions.

06International transfers

We aim to keep your data within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside these areas, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision — so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

07How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are generally kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.

We will only send you our newsletter if you have opted in. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about an order you have placed.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.

11Children

Our Site and Products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published here, with the “Last updated” date shown above. Where changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you.
